When providing consultations, my aim is to share my expertise in a supportive and customized manner. I have an advanced degree in Interpreter Pedagogy and have unique practical experience that when combined with a collaborative approach to creating what you envision, achieves effective outcomes. When providing a consult, here is the typical process:
Initial Consultation. In our first meeting, I will ask questions to learn about what you hope to accomplish and we will discuss possible ways we can collaborate.
Proposal. After our meeting, you will receive a proposal to approve that includes a program outline or structure, a scope of work, and a cost estimate.
Program Development. The program development phase is iterative, meaning that there will be scheduled checkpoints throughout the development process so that you can see the product as it is created and share feedback with me early and often.
Program Delivery. When the project is complete, you will have options on how your program is delivered depending on your desired outcome, which is discussed in the initial meeting.
This process is designed for you to receive the product you hoped for and to reduce deviation from your original vision. If you have something you have wanted to build and are looking for someone with energy and know-how to engineer it, you are in the right place!
Creating learning opportunities that foster engaging and meaningful learning is where the magic is at for me. I have expertise with curriculum, course, and training development, which includes in-person, online, and hybrid models. I have developed synchronous interactive, virtual training sessions (via videoconferencing), as well as asynchronous, self-paced coursework. The majority of the online learning program development I have completed has been hosted on the Canvas & GoReact learning platforms. Below is a list of some of the projects I have designed, supported, or revised.

Here is what collaborators say...
"When our Interpreter Coaching Program was founded in 2019, WESP-DHH Outreach Services (in Wisconsin) hand-selected specific partners to ensure the program's success. Jen Hayes is an integral part of that program and effectively collaborates with the participants and our Outreach team to provide a quality coaching program. She has continuously created a positive environment for the participants to grow in both their coaching and client relationships."
"The overwhelming increase that ASLIS saw in mentees' confidence levels, ability to self-analyze and reflect, and dedication to continuing their practice was primarily due to Jen's knowledgeable approach, passion, and continued presence. Her work with ASLIS emboldened mentees and program mentors to find benefit in collective vulnerability and provided them with techniques to be utilized far after the program's end."
"Jen’s collaboration with the IMET project has been beyond a positive experience! Using her expertise, she helped successfully revise and enhance one of our in-depth online training courses designed for educational interpreters. She is dependable and provides top notch work. Highly recommend!"
